8th Day at Singapore

From morning, the day went just like that. Since it was a Friday, we thought of going to temple. They had a famous Mariamman temple which they used to visit very often. It was a nice evening and the temple was too silent. It was more traditional, felt as if I was in India, and got the feel of our motherland. Spent there around half an hour and then went to ‘Anjappar’. Tasting many things in the local coffee shops of their style, I felt like I was in heaven on entering ‘Anjappar’. Ordered several items and eagerly waited for the delicious Indian food. That was the tastiest food I ever had in Singapore. After that we went to Mustafa Shopping Center and spent around four hours and reached home at 3 a.m. In that way my 8th Day was more interesting.

7th Day at Singapore

Nothing much special about this day. We went to immigration office that day since we had some visa issues for my sister’s son. I am supposed to admit one thing at this time. The tremendous growth of the city is purely because of the Singapore Government and the law and order which they follow. The rules are strictly followed by everyone and incase of any violations the consequences are unbearable. The corruption free Government makes the people to be disciplined and perfect in whatever they do. The formalities are strictly followed by the officers and people over there are in turn benefited out of it. We Indians need to follow a lot as they do to become one of the developing nations.

Night Shopping At Singapore:

I have been thrice to Mustafa Shopping Mall which was a 24x7 shopping centre in Singapore. First time when I went there, it was just a window shopping in which I just gained a rough idea about my shopping plans. In my 2nd visit, I and my sister bought some gold bangles, where I was totally lost on seeing the awesome collection. With the guidance of my sister, I selected some bangles and earrings of my own choice. And my 3rd visit was not much specific. I just bought chocolates, cookies, soft toys, perfumes, pearl collections and many household things. The most interesting thing here is, we were able to shop at our flexible timings. We would start at 10 p.m and reach home at 3 a.m , that was the best shopping place i would say.

One of the interesting moments of my Singapore trip

On the day before my return to India, I was invited by my sister’s in-laws. Her mother-in-laws place was very near to our's. I was bit embarrassed to meet her sister-in-laws with whom I have never moved. But after going there, the situation was completely different. On stepping out of the lift, her third sister-in-law received me with a warm welcome .After talking with all of them, within a few minutes, I was into my comfort zone. I was so proud of her family that all her sister-in-laws are so humble and sweet in spite of their dignified position. There were nearly eight kids at their place and it was so nice playing with them. In a few minutes, they got attached to me. We have been there around an hour. Since I was left over with my packing, I returned home. Hoping to meet them all again in the near future....

3rd Day of my Singapore trip

On the 2nd day of my Singapore trip, I Completely spent the day with my sister’s kids. The next day we thought of visiting our cousin’s place who is one of my close relations. My sister prepared some special dishes for my cousin and we got ready around 10.30. My brother-in-law dropped us at her place. For a few minutes, my sister’s daughter was much reserved. Soon after some time, she was excited to see cartoon in LCD monitor, the toys over there and started playing happily. We had lunch and when both of my sister’s kids were asleep, we three- my sister, cousin and I started talking some interesting stuff. Then around 5’o we all went to KFC which was very near to her place. It was the best evening of my Singapore trip and the day was so good, spending with my cousin, sharing all my strange experiences in a totally new world. With the plans of meeting her again, returned home happily.

Renewing Friendship

The beauty of friendship is that we are still able to share our thoughts and feeling despite the gap in communication for several years . Most importantly when we lost a friend of ours because we were connected , we could give her family the emotional support they needed . the realization from renewing friendship and keeping in touch are that every one goes through ups and downs life . all those who take the effort to live a meaningful life despite what happens or does not happen have found purpose . friends are a great sourse of inspiration and motivation . each of us find it easy to learn from others and relate. A small initiative and a little effort has kept all of us close together for years ……..
